5 Essentials for the Perfect Holiday Outfit

It’s already time to start thinking about your holiday looks whether you have plans for family gatherings, cocktail parties, or both! Though most people find themselves frazzled when planning the perfect outfit, I actually find it fun since there are tons of options from sequin frocks to casual knit dresses to festive sweaters. If I had to pick a one stop shop for all of your holiday style needs, it would be Saks Fifth Avenue. The site is fully stocked and organized with all the festive essentials a girl could ask for, including gift ideas. This makes it super easy to find a look from head to toe. I’ve already started building out my holiday wardrobe and wanted to share my recent finds to get you in the spirit.
1. Sweater Dress
Bring the cozy but chic holiday state of mind to your wardrobe with one-and-done sweater dresses that require little effort to style. I spotted one of my favorite all-time sweater dresses at Saks HERE. It’s not only wearable for any occasion but looks amazing no matter how you accessorize or layer it.
2. Night-Out Dress
One of the best things about the holiday season is all the soirees. That puts stunning party dresses at the top of our shopping list. Don’t wait for the invitations to pour in before you start planning your party looks though. Instead, shop Saks’ exquisite collection below from little black dresses to a hypnotizing sequin number.
3. Scarf or Wrap
If you’re unsure of how to layer your holiday dress, consider wrapping up in a luxurious scarf this season. I love paring back a dressy look with a logo scarf, like this Burberry one. However, stoles and ponchos also make for chic layering devices.
4. Boots
No matter where the holidays take you this year, one thing is certain: you can’t go wrong with boots! They’re a great way to give your legs some coverage when you’re rocking a dress. What I love about boot-shopping at Saks is that you can choose from a range of brands at different price points. Sam Edelman, Schutz and Stuart Weitzman are just a few of my favorites!
5. Festive Knits
Festive sweaters also make for great holiday outfits when dresses just aren’t cutting it. A chunky neutral knit is perfect for throwing on top of a sequin skirt while printed designs are great for pairing with denim.
