It’s that time of the year for music festivals and concerts. I don’t attend them the way I used to, but I remember them being so fun and memorable especially with friends. One of the most exciting parts of the entire process was putting together cute outfits. Looking back, I always went after pieces that aligned with the genre while prioritizing comfort. For instance, a rock concert would translate into a band tee and sneakers (or boots) while music festivals (like Coachella) meant bohemian styles and espadrilles. Keep reading for some of the looks you can wear to any concert this spring and summer.

1. Mini Dress, Straw Hat & Espadrilles
An eyelet mini dress is the perfect look for a daytime show or outdoor festival. Just be sure to throw in a straw hat for added sun protection. As far as your shoes go, espadrilles are key for long lasting comfort. This look would also work for a country concert if you swap out the straw hat for a wide-brim fedora and add western-inspired booties.

2. Denim Jacket, Vintage Tee & Faux Leather Skirt
If you’ll be dealing with in-between weather, pair your favorite band tee with a faux leather skirt (or leather pants) and an oversized denim jacket. This edgy ensemble is most suitable for a rock concert given the darker vibes. I love how easy it is to up the ante with chunky jewelry.

3. Leather Jacket, Romper & Gladiator Sandals
One of the more versatile looks you can pull off no matter where you’re headed is a romper. The contrast of this feminine piece with a leather jacket and gladiator sandals always catches the eye. A dark colored one-piece is great for the evenings but you can always brighten things up during the day with bold floral prints.

4. Knit Dress, Denim Jacket & Slides
For an understated look that’s chic but not overly flashy, stick to neutral colors with hints of denim. A knit midi dress with square toe slides and a denim jacket will never fail you. You can also trade the sandals for sneakers to achieve an effortless touch.

5. Relaxed Jeans, Statement Top & Hat
Never be afraid to dress up for a concert. A statement top paired with relaxed jeans is the perfect combination to feel stylish without being over the top. You can throw a hat into the mix to temper the dressier top.

6. Matching Set
A matching set is always a good idea when you can’t be bothered with mixing and matching different styles. I’ve been into pant sets lately because they’re feminine-leaning but exude that air of casual. I also like that you can dress them up with wedges and statement earrings or wear them without accessories for a perfectly dressed down look.

7. Graphic Tee & Denim Shorts
If you’re off too an R&B, EDM, or alternative concert, start your base with denim cutoffs and a graphic tee. There are so many ways to build on this look whether that’s with a plaid shirt and combat boots or leather jacket and sneakers. Your styling options are truly endless here.
