Baseball caps are really blowing up lately. So many designers featured the accessory on the runways. I’ve even spotted them on multiple major celebrities and top models lately, which is always a strong indication that something will really take off. Baseball caps have never really been a trend for me though since I’ve worn them for as long as I can remember. I really love the way they add a sporty chic touch to an outfit. There’s also just something about topping off an everyday look with a cap that feels instantly cool. Now that they’re becoming a part of our daily uniform, I wanted to share some of the best ways you can style them.

1. With Activewear
If you’ve never really been one for hats, pairing a cap with workout pieces is a no-brainer way to ease into the trend. Whether it’s a workout set with a light jacket or leggings and a hoodie, you can count on this little topper to complete your look.

2. With Casual Basics
A baseball cap is also appropriate to pair with casual basics. It’s the kind of look I’d wear to run errands or when I’m doing some casual shopping. As you’re pulling this look together, keep in mind that the trick is to match the color of your hat to something else in our outfit. For instance, a camel hat with a camel top or a gray cardigan with a gray hat.

3. With A Blazer
You guys already know that my love for the blazer runs deep – but sometimes, it can feel too polished for the end result I want to achieve. I find that adding a baseball cap pulls it back just enough. This pairing looks best with denim.

4. With Loungewear
Baseball caps go hand in hand with loungewear just like they do with activewear. Whether that’s a matching sweatsuit, pajamas or cozy separates, the right cap will always tie your look together.
