Where To Score Affordable Ski Wear

If you just booked a ski trip this winter, then I’m sure you know that compiling a cool ski wardrobe can be tricky and expensive! Luckily, ski-inspired style is trending right now, making it possible to score some good puffer coats, ski sweaters, comfy pants, and cute snow boots at reasonable prices. During my recent trip to Aspen, I stopped by Nordstrom and found ton of new designs are not only technical but super chic and affordable too. Whether you’re hitting the slopes this winter or just want to look cozy chic, I wanted to share a few heavy-duty pieces that are appropriate for every budget.
Ski Jacket
Coats can often be the most expensive part of ski wear, but they’re worth every penny because you can wear them for years to come. With that said, you don’t have to spend a fortune to score a high-quality ski jacket. There are so many great styles under $250 at Nordstrom. This season, I’ve been relying on a red puffer to liven up the white slopes, and it’s such a fun look to pull together.
Snow Suit
If you’re on a budget, the Topshop SNO collection is definitely worth checking out at Nordstrom as everything is really affordable and stylish – especially the snow suits. The one I’m wearing is now sold out, but here’s a similar option. You can also forgo the suit and opt for a matching pant and jacket set for a similar outfit. I love a waist-defining look and faux fur-trimmed hood.
Thermal Base Layers
Base layers are the perfect multi-tasker for any winter trip. They make an amazing layer during the day on the slopes, but can be worn under a chunky sweater or with jeans for dinner at night. I always look for technical fabrics that allow for mobility and help keep moisture at bay while skiing.
Cozy Loungewear
Ski trips call for pieces that’ll make you feel like like you’re right at home by the fire. I always pack a mix of joggers, leggings, sports bras, and cozy sweaters for options that can be mixed and matched. You can wear every single piece off the slopes too when you’re working out, brunching, or lounging around on the weekends.
Snow Boots
When it comes to footwear, I’m mostly looking for something protective and waterproof with a reliable grip. Although I usually go for trusted brands like UGG and Sorel, I just discovered this affordable brand. It has so many cute, fur-lined mocassin-style boots that provide extra warmth in frigid temps.
Performance Accessories
No ski wardrobe is complete without accessories. Whether you’re looking for snow goggles, thick wool socks, or tech gloves, Nordstrom carries all of it. The right pieces truly keep you warm and safe in style.
