3 Pieces to Buy this Fall if You’re Petite

Standing at just 5’2″, I often feel like I’m drowning in most silhouettes. While heading to the tailor is always a viable option, I prefer to get a hold of pieces that actually fit and require no tailoring at all. This usually means shopping in the petite section or sticking with petite-friendly brands. Though I’ve done the majority of my petite shopping at mass market department stores, I just discovered a new brand I wanted to tell you guys about today.

Sizes start at XXS so you can be sure that you’ll find something that actually fits. The brand carries a mix of polished, edgy, and trendy pieces that you can wear throughout the week. And with Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales kicking off now, it’s really the perfect time to shop at Petite Studio and get a great deal on high-quality petite styles that will last you multiple seasons. Today through December 2,  you can take 25% off the entire site using the code “BF25OFF”. The sale also applies in stores and can’t be combined with other discount codes or store credit. So if you’re ready to shop, I wanted to share three most flattering pieces to invest in if you’re petite.

Cropped Trousers

Form-fitting trousers are always the most difficult piece to find. With super long hemlines and wider waists, I almost always have to get them tailored. It gets even trickier when I’m shopping for culottes or cropped trousers because they rarely ever cut off where they’re supposed. Petite Studio makes it possible to find pants that graze the ankles or calves, and it’s been such a game changer. You can pair them with stiletto pumps or boots for that extra leg-lengthening effect.

Cropped Sweater

I love a good oversized top, but they can some times be too long or look too baggy. I’ll usually reach for a cropped style because they look amazing over high-waisted pants and can help elongate any look. If you’re not a fan of crop tops, pay extra attention to where your tops hit – I prefer the hip area for blouses and sweaters with longer sleeves ending at the wrists. This sweater is perfect because it’s shorter in the front but a bit longer in the back. It’s pieces like this that are great for tucking into pants.

Long Coat

Coats are another one of those tricky pieces because they can look too big and unflattering. Luckily, fashion has come a long way and you can find great coat styles catered to petite sizes. Petite Studio offers a large selection of coats that sit perfectly across the shoulders and cut off in all the right places. Most of their coats are on the longer side which is great for us petite girls because it helps give the illusion of more height. They also happen to be extremely chic and wearable from the office to a night out.
