I’ve been making some major updates to my wardrobe in order to accommodate all of the new summer styles I’ve had my eyes on. Since the weather has been consistently nicer, it’s a great time to clear out the old and make room for the new. Filling out my closet with updated pieces always helps put me in a good mood. So, I wanted to share the affordable summer essentials I’m stocking up on, which is easier than ever thanks to Walmart. They continually surprise me with their premium brand offerings, coupled with their everyday low prices. And as much as I covet beautiful designer goods, it’s always hard to pass up an amazing deal on the essentials. Scroll ahead for my favorite items to grab at Walmart.
Casual Linen
The relaxed, cool girl aesthetic everyone is gravitating towards right now is centered around linen during summer. When the temperature is at its highest, there really isn’t much else you’d want to be wearing! Walmart is right in trend with their offering of chic linen pieces that will keep you cool all season long. Midi-length, button front skirts in natural beige, as well as some classic white linen trousers are a must have. They look put together but feel like next to nothing when worn.
Easy Tees
One of my favorite pieces to pair with linen bottoms is a basic t-shirt or tank top. They are one of the easiest pieces to dress up or down however you’d like. I love the mixed stripes of this top, which is the perfect match for jeans or denim cut offs.
Denim Jacket
Nothing says the Fourth of July quite like a denim jacket. It’s the quintessential Americana piece every woman needs in her summer wardrobe. I love this slightly cropped version from the Sofia Jeans collection at Walmart. I’ve worn it quite a bit already this summer. For a more comfortable option, I love going up one or two sizes in denim jackets for an oversized fit too.
Summertime Shoes
Great quality, comfortable shoes are often difficult to come by without spending a ton. However, I’ve had a lot of success finding chic, affordable footwear from Walmart. You can step up your shoe game with timeless neutral heels that pair well with linen bottoms, lace dresses, and everything in between. For more casual looks, you can never go wrong with a comfy pair of espadrilles.
Resort-Ready Accessories
No summer look is complete without having a little fun with some accessories! Not only does Walmart have a ton of cute, trendy clothing, but they are also a great resource for stocking up on natural accessories that will elevate your look. Items such as straw panama hats are perfect for masking any bad hair days and blocking the harsh sun rays. Handbags with trendy details like net or jute instantly put you in vacation mode.
If you are looking to update your wardrobe for the summer season, Walmart is a great place to score the latest fashion trends and save in the process.
