What to Buy During Cyber Week

I can’t believe how fast time is flying by – and that we’re only two weeks away from the biggest shopping week of the year. While Black Friday and Cyber Monday are amazing opportunities to discover great deals, I’ve noticed that sales are starting earlier and lasting longer with each passing year. Given the nature of this super busy time period, it can be overwhelming to decide what to buy when literally every retailer is promoting steep discounts. I’ve shifted out of shopping in stores to online because it’s way easier and helps me stick to a budget. Plus, I get more time to spend with family and friends. In order to make the most of Cyber Week, I highly recommend creating a list and prioritizing what’s worth buying since many items sell out quickly. If you want to be prepared for the frenzy, I’m sharing the items I’ll be stocking up on below.
Topshop Camel Coat (wearing a US 2) | Free People Tunic (wearing an XS) | Gucci Bag | Celine Sunglasses | Stuart Weitzman Over-The-Knee Boots
Apparel
Handbags
Cyber Week is all about the deals in fashion. This is the time to treat yourself to the designer handbag you have been eyeing all year long! Sales on these big ticket items do not happen often, so this is the best time to take advantage. Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Shopbop, Saks and other department stores always run amazing deals every year. But don’t forget to check out smaller boutiques like Monnier Freres and Farfetch for a worthwhile splurge.
Shoes
In addition to handbags, designer shoes and boots are another great buy to consider during Cyber Week. You can treat yourself or your loved ones to a high quality pair of shoes from brands I love, like Manolo Blahnik, Stuart Weitzman, and Gianvito Rossi. Be sure to scour the retailers mentioned above, in addition to brand specific websites, for luxe footwear at a great price.
Outerwear
With winter underway, this is the perfect time to stock up on outerwear. Coats and jackets can be quite expensive, so Cyber Week allows you to save a few dollars – or grab a few extras. Affordable retailers like Mango and H&M will definitely offer great prices, but keep an eye out for higher end styles from Shopbop, Nordstrom, and Revolve too.
Beauty
Skincare
Beauty products very rarely go on sale, and since a proper winter skincare routine can be expensive, be sure to stock up on any must-haves plus new brands you’ve been wanting to try. Sephora always reveals great deals on select items while other beauty boutiques like Birchbox, Dermstore, and Space.NK will offer a site wide discount. Many brands also hold their own sales like Sigma Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury, and Armani Beauty, so mark your favorites!
Holiday Beauty Sets
Cyber Week also happens to be one of my favorite times to shop for holiday beauty gift sets. Oftentimes, these make great Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers for the important women in your life. I’ll even grab a few backups in case there’s a last minute Secret Santa gift exchange I’m invited to. I not only look for makeup and skincare goodies but also candles and fragrance sets.
Body Treatments and Creams
Winter lasts for many months in Minnesota, so keeping my skin in the best possible condition is a priority for me. I load up on body oils and creams that will take me beyond the holidays.
Small Kitchen Appliances
Coffee Maker
Although it isn’t the best move to purchase huge kitchen appliances during Cyber Week, you can’t go wrong with smaller ones like a coffee maker. If you’re a big coffee drinker, be on the lookout for great discounts on Ninja Coffee Bar, Keurig, and Nespresso machines.
Blenders and Mixers
If you’re in need of a new blender or mixer, now is the time to replace it. I’m a huge fan of KitchenAid mixers, especially for a Christmas or house warming gift.
Instant Pot
If you’re looking for a versatile appliance to whip up a quick meal, consider an instant pot. It’s a slow cooker, rice cooker, pressure steamer, and warmer all in one package. I love that you can cook anything in it with little time and effort. I’m expecting tons of great deals on these for Cyber Week at Bed Bath & Beyond, Macy’s, and Target.
Electronics
Bluetooth & Smart Speakers
Bluetooth and smart speakers are a must-have in the home and office. The wireless functionality of a bluetooth speaker is great to have around the holidays, but if you want the voice-control feature, go with a smart speaker. While there are no hard details on Google Home, I’m watching this product closely.
Laptops & Tablets
While Thanksgiving day and Black Friday are optimal to get the best price on tech buys such as computers, laptops, and tablets, you’ll find plenty of deals that are almost just as good around Cyber Week. A lot of times, many big retailers won’t even change their prices for a few days. Some of my favorite places to shop for laptops and tablets are Best Buy, Amazon, Newegg, and Target.
Cameras and Lenses
Several of you have asked me about blogging and photography advice, and I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to invest in a quality camera. Cyber Week is the best time to get an incredible deal on a starter kit – or just to invest in better lenses, memory cards, and hard drives.
Travel Deals
Aside from fashion and electronics, Cyber Week can be a great opportunity to snag a travel deal. Traveling can be so expensive but getting out there and exploring is worth every penny. Many airlines and travel agencies run exclusive deals on their websites, so you can find low airfare and cheap hotel and resort packages – or cruises. Check out Groupon, Expedia, and hotel and airline sites directly for the best packages.
