6 Versatile Thanksgiving Day Outfits to Wear

Thanksgiving is only two weeks away, and there’s so much that I’m looking forward to. Aside from spending quality time with family and indulging in great food, I always get super excited about planning a few holiday outfits. Since must-have items tend to sell out quickly and shipping delays are common around this time, I like to prepare my looks in advance in case I need to place an online order. This ensures I’ll have something to wear by the time Thanksgiving is here! Several of my favorite looks comprise of light, cozy layers that are forgiving and can easily be peeled off. No matter what I’m wearing though, I always want to look somewhat chic and put together. If you’re looking for holiday appropriate outfits to wear this year, I’m sharing 6 of my favorite Thanksgiving Day outfits below.
Sweater Dress + Over The Knee Boots
You can never go wrong with a cozy sweater dress and over the knee boots. This look is perfect if you’re wanting something a little dressier but isn’t over the top glamorous. Sweater dresses are so easy to throw on and always look chic. My favorites are turtleneck tunics that have a more relaxed fit.
Jeans + Chunky Knit + Classic Pumps
For a casual option that allows you to be more mobile, go with basic jeans and chunky knit sweater. This look never fails to be holiday appropriate especially in rustic fall colors. I love how chunky knits add a cozy, effortless touch to any outfit. If you want to dress up the look a little more, pair this outfit with classic pumps.
Distressed Jeans + Silk Cami + Cardigan
Silk and lace camisoles are some of my favorite tops to wear with jeans. It adds a flirty, feminine touch to any outfit and is perfect for layering underneath a cardigan during the colder months.
Structured Skirt + Turtleneck Sweater + Boots
Another foolproof outfit is pairing a turtleneck sweater with a structured skirt. This combo strikes the right balance of comfort and chic. I love the simple, layered look – and how it pulls me together no matter what kind of Thanksgiving dinner I might be headed to (or hosting).
Leather Pants + Statement Sleeve or Cutout Sweater
Leather pants are a staple in my fall wardrobe because they can really elevate an outfit. If you think leather pants are too edgy, soften it up with a comfy sweater that has ruffle accents or fun cutouts. Below, I’ve included several of my favorite leather pants that are affordable and fitting for Thanksgiving!
Monochromatic White Outfit
Lastly, one of my go-to looks is a monochromatic white outfit. Going monochrome always ups the chic factor, which is why I love it so much – and it’s super easy to pull off. Although white isn’t always the most practical choice, it reflects the season especially when worn with hints of tan or brown.
