The Health Supplements I Swear By This Season

fashion blogger mia mia mine wearing a white turtleneck from H&M and white denim While I am not an expert when it comes to health and wellness, I’ve definitely made a conscious effort to live a healthier lifestyle over the years. This not only entails working out when I can, but being mindful of what I put into my body. When it comes to maintaining my weight, I try to eat healthy, but I don’t deprive myself of any foods in particular. It’s all about portion control for me. My weight has fluctuated over the years, but it’s held stable for the last five years or so. However, I’ve definitely noticed staying healthy takes more of an effort these days. I’m not sure if it’s being in my early-30’s or the side effects of working a desk job for so long, but my body doesn’t quite feel like it did in my 20’s. In just the last couple of months I’ve begun adding supplements into my daily routine in order to stay healthy overall. From teas to superfoods and vitamins, I wanted to share the supplements I swear by today. Once you find a healthy mix that works for you, you will feel better than ever.

Dymatize

ISO 100 Whey Protein Powder

Since fitness and exercise have been a priority lately, I've been on the hunt for a protein supplement. I'm usually not a fan of protein powders, but I really like that this one is just a little sweet, but not super flavorful. I primarily mix it into protein pancakes and shakes.

NutraKey

L-Glutamine

I started adding this supplement to my drinks to help with muscle recovery after I work out. L-Glutamine helps boost your immune system too. The best part is that it's tasteless!

Sports Research

Collagen Peptides Powder

Collagen is one of the most important nutrients for your skin, hair, and more. Since taking this supplement, I've noticed huge improvement in the elasticity and moisture levels of my skin. Definitely add this to your diet if you're working on an anti-aging routine. I put this in my morning coffee.

Prenatal Vitamins

Although I'm not pregnant, I take prenatal vitamins every day for healthy hair and nails. I swapped out fish oil for these after experiencing the side effects of fish oil - which made me feel nauseous. I always notice a difference if I miss a few days of my prenatal vitamins. They work so well!

Viviscal

Hair Growth Supplement

Hormones, everyday stress, and styling can oftentimes take a toll on our hair. If you're struggling with thinning strands or stagnant growth, this supplement will help you claim back fuller and thicker hair. I've been using this off and on for almost a decade.

Traditional Medicinals

Weightless Women's Tea

Water retention is something I struggle with especially around that time of the month. This tea contains essential herbs that help your body eliminate excess water. Plus, the hot, comforting drink is perfect for the cooler weather.

Throat Coat Herbal Tea

Traditional Medicinals

Although fall is my favorite season, it usually brings an onslaught of sore throats and colds. This one is so soothing and gets me back to normal in no time.
