The Making of a Chic Summer Outfit

When it comes to my year-round style, I tend to choose basics over everything else. While basics can sometimes feel boring, I always opt for elevated pieces that are understated yet classy. To me, a chic summer outfit is white denim, a statement jacket or blazer and of course statement heels. I could wear this combination every day – it works for a day at the office and weekend date nights. I love wearing smart basics like a great blazer and denim during the week even though I work from home. I always feel more productive when I dress like I’m going to the office (even if it’s a more casual one).
A lace cami is a basic that I have in my wardrobe year-round. Cami NYC makes my favorites – they are worth the price tag, but you can also find great ones at H&M. In the summer I live in lace camis. They’re great for wearing out in the heat or under a blazer or jacket indoors when the air conditioning is on.
I feel like I try so many new pairs of white pants, but I always come back to one brand that has the best fit for my body – Topshop. This cropped pair comes in petite so they fit perfectly.
