Transitioning between seasons can be a styling challenge. Lately the weather has gone from feeling like summer one day to fall the next. I’ve been loving lightweight basics to carry me through and layering when needed. While basics always feel great, they don’t alway look the most stylish. The easiest way to add that “cool girl” factor to otherwise basic outfits is to throw on a leather jacket. A great leather jacket really is one of – if not THE – best wardrobe investment. It instantly takes any outfit from boring to chic. Throw on some heels and black sunglasses and a leather jacket could make sweats look chic. I styled my leather jacket with my favorite black jeans and the softest gray top. I love that while this top can look simple layered under a jacket, it also looks great on its own with the trendy cold-shoulder cutouts and the heavy black leather stitching.
